1991 Liu Chiu-Shen, founding director of the Pharmaceuticals Company, has raised NT 40 million in contributions for the domestic pharmaceuticals industry, with NT 20 million in donations from the Industrial Development Bureau.
1992 Established the Life Preparation Department
1993 Formal establishing of the PITDC (Wuku Industrial Zone)
Started work on a project under the Ministry of Economic Affairs' Industry Development Bureau
1996 Center relocates to the Hsichih Biotechnology Research and Development Park
1997 5th Anniversary of PITDC founding

Started work on projects under the Ministry of Economic Affairs' Industrial Technology Department,the Department of Health, and the Council of Agriculture.

The Industry Development Bureau commissions the Chinese Management Association to assess the Center.The findings show all areas of operation to be excellent, with the center receiving the top rating for excellence among the seven organizations assessed. The Center is highly praised by former head of the Industry Development Bureau, Wang Yea-Kang.
Publication of the first edition of the Center's periodical Pharmaceutical Technology Monthly Newsletter
1998 MOEA, Commerce Department assessment finds all areas of the Center's operation to be of the highest standard.
1999 Completion of the Center's Intranet
2000 Center sponsors the 3rd International Symposium on Herbal Medicine
Formal launching of the Center's Pharmaceutical Technology Information web site.
The Center's newsletter and personnel training awarded ISO-9001 certification with zero deficiencies by the UK firm BSI.

2001 Awarded certification for the Center's procedural system for managing intellectual property from the Ministry of Economic Affairs.
The center's newsletter and personnel training pass the ISO-9001 follow-up assessment.
Received certification for the Center's implementation process for managing intellectual property from theMinistry of Economic Affairs, while receiving special commendation from the awarding committee.
2002 The new 'Anti-Ulcer herbs medicine' has been approved for clinical trials by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) Investigative New Drug (IND) process, becoming the first Chinese herbal medicine that was researched and developed exclusively in Taiwan to pass FDA clinical tests.
Building work begins on new premises at the Wuku Industrial Park.
Tenth anniversary of opening of new premises
2003 Executed ICB's promotion plan for the medical device industry and the second stage for the pharmaceutical industry.
Nano-particle research strategic alliance established.
Formal launch of the medical device qualification center website.
Awarded CNLA certification.
2004 PharmTECprint trademark registered in EU.
Alliance established with Sun Ten Phytotech Co.,Ltd, United Biotech Corporation and PhytoHealth Corporation for the development of the Chinese herbal medicine PDC-748
Herbal medicine raw material databank established and the Chinese Herb e-Net website launched.
PDC-339 received 2 IND certificates.
Completed work on drug material (herbarium and specimen)display room.
2005 Executed second stage of herbal medicine project: To explore new domestic raw material sources.
Formed alliances with Protch Pharmaservices Corp., and with Scientific Pharmaceutical Elite Company.
Launched the Taiwan Conpendium on Medicinal Plants website.

2006 PITDC had finished the pre-clinical study of a botanic drug ( PDC-748) to prove its anti-tussive efficacy. In order to further develop PDC-748, PITDC organized a strategic alliance with PhytoHealth Corporation and Sun Ten Phytotech, and PhytoHealth Corporation as representative. PDC748 therefore successfullytransferred from PITDC to the Alliance. It was awarded the 2006 Taipei Biotech Award - Technology Transfer Gold Medal by Taipei City Government.
PITDC represented some of the local medical device companies to sign a letter of intent with U.S. Polymerex Medical Corp. to manufacture the original engineered cardiac catheter medical devices.
PITDC assisted local investors to establish a Taiwan Herbal Medicine Co., LTD.
2007 The anti-tussive botanic drug ( PDC-748) was awarded the 2007 National Innovation Award.
2008 Technically and regulatory assisted a local company to market its Mirtazapine in orally-disintegrating tablet form.
2009 PITDC, as one of the members, of Alliance of Innovation in Traditional Industry (AITI) jointly won the Traditional Industry Value-Added Contribution Award granted by MOEA.
PITDC technically and regulatory assisted a local company to get the first local market approval of Levocetirizine in orally-disintegrating tablet form.
2010 The anti-tussive botanic drug ( PDC-748) was exclusively licensed to the Alliance.
Signed a research collaboration agreement with Taipei Medical University.
PITDC was awarded the Taiwan Intellectual Property Management System (TIPS) certification.
