Taiwan Pharmaceutical Alliance (TPA) was established by the Pharmaceutical Industry Technology and Development Center (PITDC).
Its core mission is to strengthen the image of Taiwan’s pharmaceutical industry, build global partnerships, expand pharmaceutical exports, and advance strategic global deployment.
TPA members consist of reputable and trusted pharmaceutical-related companies in Taiwan, offering one-stop products and services including Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs), niche generic drugs, 505(b)(2) products, biologics, biosimilars, CRO services, and medical consumables, covering nearly 90% of therapeutic areas. Finished dosage forms are diverse, including common oral dosage forms, semi-solid preparations, injectables, ophthalmic solutions, as well as specialty dosage forms such as Metered Dose Inhalers (MDIs), Dry Powder Inhalers (DPIs), nasal sprays, transdermal patches, and topical products.
All TPA member manufacturing facilities are certified under PIC/S GMP, and many have also obtained certifications from international regulatory authorities such as the U.S. FDA, the European EMA, Japan’s PMDA, and the UK MHRA.

The development of innovative pharmaceutical technologies in Taiwan is closely aligned with global niche market trends and regulatory frameworks. Key highlights include Hot Melt Extrusion, Nano Particle technology, and Continuous Manufacturing.
In addition, TPA provides customized commercial collaboration models based on the needs of domestic and international partners, offering comprehensive one-stop services from early-stage product selection and co-development to clinical trials and final production. Business models include Clinical Research and Development Manufacturing (CrDMO), Contract Development and Manufacturing (CDMO), Contract Manufacturing (CMO), Clinical Research Organization (CRO), In-Out Licensing, and Technology Transfer.
