2025/10/02 Dr. Eva Langerbeck, Director of the German Trade Office, led a team to visit the PITDC.
In July 2024, Dr. Eva Langerbeck, who holds a Ph.D. in Islamic Studies, assumed the role of Chief Representative and Director of the German Trade Office Taipei. Prior to this appointment, Dr. Langerbeck served as Acting Director and Deputy Director at the Malaysian-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MGCC), where [he/she/they] played a key role in strengthening bilateral trade relations between Germany and Malaysia.
In addition to her leadership in international trade and diplomacy, Dr. Langerbeck has made notable academic contributions at Freie Universität Berlin, particularly in the field of Islamic Studies.
During her visit to the PITDC, Dr. Langerbeck engaged in discussions on opportunities for Taiwan–Germany collaboration in pharmaceutical innovation, continuous manufacturing technologies, and the advancement of smart healthcare solutions.
Mr. Rohleder holds a law degree from Humboldt University in Berlin. After completing his First State Examination in Law, he served as a parliamentary assistant to Dr. Wolfgang Schäuble, MdB, a member of the German Bundestag, until 2011.
From 2011 to 2016, he contributed to the founding of the Aviation Initiative for Renewable Energy in Germany (aireg e.V.) in Berlin, where he was responsible for political communications and public relations.
In 2022, Mr. Rohleder was appointed Managing Director of Energy Saxony e.V., an energy association based in Dresden. Later that year, he assumed the position of Chief Executive Officer at the Dresden Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Dr. Esther Troost is a renowned expert in the field of image-guided high-precision therapy, with significant contributions to the development of personalized medicine in photon and proton radiation treatments. Her work is centered on advancing the impact of radiation oncology by promoting interdisciplinary collaboration and translating cutting-edge research into clinical practice.
Active engagement, collaboration, and professional networking have been key drivers of her success. Dr. Troost has published extensively in numerous high-impact international journals and has received several prestigious awards, including the Varian Award presented by the European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO), underscoring the clinical relevance and patient-centered focus of her research.
